Gourmet Coffee Gift Baskets
Gourmet coffee gift baskets are a delicious idea for the gift-giving season! These baskets are perfect for giving to loved ones, friends, neighbors, bosses and coworkers.
The great thing about this gift is you can make the basket as small or large as you would like - it all depends on how much you want to spend! Small baskets are perfect for coworkers and acquaintances, while larger ones are perfect for giving to family and close friends.
These gift baskets are also a lot of fun to make! I made several over this holiday season for most of my friends and family who are coffee-lovers.
Everyone raved about what a wonderful gift it made, and in actuality it was quite inexpensive to make! The first step is finding a good deal on baskets.
My local hobby store had baskets for half off that were perfect, and very reasonably priced that made the perfect vessel for the gifts.
After I purchased the baskets, I went to the local coffee shop and bought several one pound bags of coffee.
For the people I'm very close to I purchased coffee beans, as I knew they already had coffee grinders.
For the coworker and acquaintance baskets, I purchased ground coffee so they could use the coffee right away, with or without a grinder.
I also bought several small packs from the grocery store of flavored coffee.
Each pack was a perfectly sized pouch of coffee to make a single pot.
I sprinkled these into the baskets for some different flavors of coffee to try.
After I had purchased the coffee and the baskets, it was time to add some fun stuff! I went to the local dollar store and found some adorable coffee mugs.
I think as people have so many coffee mugs, you should never spend too much on these.
I found some dog themed ones for the dog lovers in my life, and some other funny ones and pretty ones for coworkers and friends.
Each basket got a mug, and even if they never use them it was less than a dollar to throw in! After that I went to a local fine food shop and purchased some lovely cookies, tea biscuits, biscotti, chocolates and chocolate covered espresso beans.
Every basket got at least two edible cookies, and I have to say this where I spent the most.
Also, the bigger, more elaborate baskets also received a bottle of gourmet vanilla syrup.
After I stuffed the basket I wrapped them with cellophane and tied them with pretty bows! It was a lot of fun to make, and also very cost efficient!
