Themes for a little boy"s room
One of the best themes for a boy's room is bugs. You can have any type of bug you want in the room, use pictures of bugs to decorate the walls or even paint a mural of an ant farm on the wall. You can easily find bedroom accessories that deal with bugs. You can do the flooring in a brownish color or you can even add green throw rugs to mimic the color of grass.
If your child is not into bugs, something else that always gets boys interest is decorating a room based on their favorite animal, which can be a pet or even a wild animal. You can do a safari themed animal if they like lions and such or you can do zebra stripes in the room. All you need to do is get bedding that is done in the animal of choice and hang pictures up on the wall. If you are really good at drawing, consider painting a mural in their bedroom of different animals. Wallpaper borders also feature a variety of different animals.
If you elect to go with a safari theme, some of the different things that you can do include putting stuffed tigers and lions in the corner of the room. You can also paint the walls different colors based on the wallpaper border you have chosen. Leopard prints work wonderfully for the bedding. You can even hand a butterfly net, a straw hat, and some binoculars on the wall for an added effect.
Using a playhouse theme is also something else that little boys would love. To pull off this theme one thing you can do is paint a town along the walls, such as a grocery store, a post office, and other buildings that your child can relate too. Use bright vibrant colors; you can add a play mat that features a town. You can add different toys to the room to help create the play town theme.
