Arizona Guard Card Training
- Training class is typically coordinated through the employer of the security guard. In the event that the employer does not provide class information, third-party providers offer a schedule of training classes.
- Training for unarmed security guards consists of an eight-hour class that must be taken and passed in order to receive a guard card. The class covers criminal laws, arrest laws, uniform regulations, communication, first responder training and levels of force.
- Armed security guards complete a 16-hour class focused on firearm safety, in addition to the eight-hour class required for all guards.
