The Stoney Beginning

103 9
Every beginning is a rocky start, where everything seems to go wrong or corresponds to the law that everything that can go wrong, will; and to some that is an optimistic point of view.
But, persistence and expertise does bring success, and what happens after every beginning is no exception.
Sure, this is a boring and repetitive start to an exciting subject.
In thinking about things in life we all have the same start, as babies in everything and the only way to grow is up.
So, this article is about the spiritual and mental beginning, not so much the physical beginning.
Achieving always starts with a "bad" beginning that looks daunting, and even mountainous.
But as a Chinese philosopher said, the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.
Then you take the next steps, even if it is on a plane that gets you there in six hours.
A little humor there, but the point is made.
All beginnings and actions during train you for the end.
To paraphrase a famous athlete: "We all love to win at the end, but who loves to train from the beginning.
" That is the problem, we all love the results, but we do not like the earning part when we don't want it badly enough or want to skip steps and take "shortcuts".
So, I say: even when things go wrong, they can be corrected.
Even when things look bleak, they can be reworked.
Failure is never permanent unless we all make it permanent.
As long as there is a conscious existence, there is a chance to do it and do it right.
Meaning, if you really want something, no matter what temporary setback there is, you will get it back on track and make it work, even if you have to change approaches, retool or do it another time.
Failure only happens to those who quit and are strong enough to be adaptable, or in short they do not want their goal enough.
Sure, I can act like a baby after a setback and whine about, well, I'm a loser or I can get back up, dust myself off, and know that as long as I am here and I am alive, there is a chance to do what I have got to do.
The beginning is always stoney, but when you achieve the genuine end, it is always sweet.
In fact the subtitle to this article is rather long so I did not include it, but I will include it in the article here.
"The Stoney Beginning: If You Really Want A Good End, Stick With It With Discipline If You Really Want A Good End Instead Of Something More That You Quit, No Matter What.
" That is a long title, to long for the title box, but it serves its purposes here.
Quitting time only happens for those who end too soon.
A rest only happens for those who keep on keeping on until they achieve what they want.
Quitting is not a rest, it is giving up.
A rest is to reenergize, not quit.
That is understandable.
Even the best genuine successes take time to reenergize and retool themselves, that is a part of the game.
But successes never quit, only failures do.
Think about it, failure means quitting, fully quitting.
Success means training until you achieve the big goals no matter how long it takes.
No matter what others may think.
No matter what realities may hit or miss.
What you want is what you want, and if successful it is only a matter of time before you get it.
So, I paraphrase the famous athlete again: "We all love to win at the end, but who loves to train from the beginning.
" Well a little personal background in this paragraph before the personal background below: I am one of those "nutty people" who looks at things that way.
I never said that I don't cry foul or get angry and am perfect.
But I am persistent and never, ever quit, no matter what.
I am one of those who loves to win, train and everything for what they want, no matter how I may feel or what I have to go through.
Because the end result is as desirable as the journey for me, even when I feel bad or good, rain or shine, whatever.
Loving it all in my opinion makes a real winner.
That is the bottom line for me, and the ever higher ceiling that keeps me going upward.
I love to work and I love to achieve, it is what I come down to.
