- 1). Place all of the contents of the poly tank into a safe storage container.
- 2). Rinse out the poly tank with a garden hose or pressure washer. To use a pressure washer, fill up the tank with water and close the lid. Choose the nozzle that will spray the widest area without spraying beyond the tank's dimensions.
- 3). Mix 1 cup of oil-based dish detergent with 5 gallons of warm water. Increase the quantity of the cleaning mixture, as needed.
- 4). Scrub the inside and outside of the poly tank with the scrub brush. Begin at the top and work your way down to the bottom.
- 5). Rinse the soap off with a garden hose or pressure washer. Allow the tank to air dry.
