"Lego Star Wars" is a family-friendly adventure game published by Eidos Interactive first released in 2005 for several consoles, including the Xbox, Playstation 2, GameCube and PC based on the classic "Star Wars" films with a Lego twist. The franchise has spurned several sequels on even more consoles. Throughout the original "Lego Star Wars" game, there are several hints, tips and cheats that can make your adventure a little easier no matter what console you're playing it on.

    Stud Stealing

    • Studs are the currency in the Lego Star Wars universe, and can be collected throughout the game in exchange for weapons, ammo and vehicles. After finishing a level and are transported back to the diner, which serves as the game's central hub between levels, don't move on to the next level just yet. Instead, go outside and break all of the trash cans with your lightsaber, making tons of studs spill out. You can repeat this as many times as you want; in fact, you can enter a level then exit it and every time you reappear into the diner the trash cans will be intact and full of studs again.

    Sneaking Around

    • "Lego Star Wars" allows you to switch between different characters to use throughout the game's levels. When you enter a level and know the enemies you'll be encountering (for example a robotic clone), then simply play as that character (to unlock playable droids, see Section 3). They'll still attack you eventually if you attack first, but not immediately, and this will give you the upper hand and let you perform sneak attacks.

    Unlockable Droids

    • There are numerous playable characters you can unlock by entering in codes at the diner's "Extra Options" menu, including droids. Once you unlock them, you can purchase them with studs and play them in the "Free Play" mode. To unlock a standard battle droid, enter "987UYR." To unlock a commander battle droid, enter "EN11K5."
