How to Force InDesign to Open a Default Folder
- 1). Open the Adobe InDesign application.
- 2). Close all open windows and workspaces in the InDesign interface.
- 3). Open a workspace from the “Recent Documents” list to become the default folder (workspace) to be opened when the program is launched. If no predefined workspace is available, click “File” and then click “New” to create a new workspace. Make sure only the default workspace is open in the InDesign application.
- 4). Click the “File” option, and then click “Save” from the top navigation menu.
- 5). Close InDesign by clicking the “X” in the top right corner of the application window. The InDesign application will save the most recently accessed workspace as the default folder. The next time the application is opened, the default folder will be the folder that contains the recently accessed workspace.
