How to Get Handgun Concealment Training in Virginia
- 1). Contact the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries for a schedule of their hunting safety courses. Determine a time you can take the course and sign up. There are several other training courses that will count for concealed gun training in Virginia, such as courses through the National Rifle Association, training classes through the police or sheriff's department, or college or private courses with teachers from the National Rifle Association or Justice Department.
- 2). Pay the course work fee. This will vary depending on the location.
- 3). Show proof of prior experience such as a former concealed gun permit from Virginia, law enforcement position, military training or some other experience. You can do this instead of training if you have the experience.
- 4). Get proof from the instructor, by way of a certificate or some other means, showing that you completed a training course if you had no prior experience.
