MLM - Keeping Faith With the American Promise

I came of age in an America that took pains to honor the personal excellence and material well-being of all Americans.
Today, I look upon the legacy of the Republican Party and am appalled, to say the least: a generation of stagnant wages for the middle-class and gratuitous tax breaks for the rich: high-level treason, mediocrity and criminal deceit amply rewarded: the on-going shredding of our beloved Constitution: the never-ending waste of human life and treasure that comes from propping up the military-industrial complex by waging wars that even our absurd leaders know cannot be intelligently defined or effectively prosecuted, much less won: the intentional meltdown of the world's credits markets, and last, but not least, the corollary to that little gem (likewise made possible by intentional regulatory connivance), the recent BP drilling disaster.
So, how did we become so willfully second-rate as Americans? I believe it started a generation ago.
That's when we Americans opted for self-contempt.
We did that by agreeing with the official proclamation that the root cause of all our problems will always be our own government.
Since in a Democracy the people are the government, that edict was just another way of saying that we the people and Democratic self-government will always be the problem.
Who then, or what, can possibly make us self-respecting Americans again? Not our politicians, surely - as most would agree they live for nothing so much as just being acknowledged, accepted and bought by their perceived betters, aka the powers that be.
How about our religious leaders? Not likely.
Dealing in radical self-contempt is their stock in trade.
Without it they don't make a nickel.
As for our corporate establishment, what can one say? Our self-contempt is its license to destroy everything that makes our common Democratic life together as American viable.
Is there no hope then? Hardly! There is always hope.
I believe that hope for a stronger and better Democratic America lies in the uniqueness of our own business model as Network Marketers.
This is why.
If we stand for anything as successful Network Marketers it is honoring America's core Democratic values of personal excellence and the material well-being of others, which is also our own.
Implicit in this worldview is our conviction that no one can "save" anyone: that if there is any saving to be done only individuals can, and will, save themselves.
If that is not the revolutionary American Promise in action, I do not know what is.
Like America's founding fathers, all of our foremost NM mentors come to the table armed with this one superseding worldview.
Consequently, at our best we offer people, in one form or another, proven and safe ways to fulfill their material goals in life by honoring the power of their own inherent excellence as their most heartfelt life-affirming dreams for themselves and their loved ones.
A final thought on inherent excellence: people's dreams are not ordinary self-generated thoughts.
Such thoughts can only come out of their own worldly experiences, memories and conditioning.
However, our universe is not just worldly (local).
It is also Holographic (non-local) so that where the (created) part is the (Creator) whole must always be making people's excellence as their most heartfelt life-affirming dreams the voice of their infinitely life-affirming Creator within as its intention to be ever more life-affirming through them.
To sum up: at our best as Network Marketers what we teach is that for people to get what is most excellent and materially rewarding in the life they must first become their Creator as its ordinary creative way of perpetually establishing its world: first, by becoming its life-affirming intentions for them from within: second by becoming its selfless and unconditional love for the life-affirming well-being and natural belonging of others in the here and now.
In America today no mainstream political, religious or corporate institution can even come close to the way we in Network Marketing provide the opportunity and the means whereby ordinary people can achieve both the personal excellence and the material well-being that are their inalienable birthright as Americans.
In the end, as it should be may that always be our legacy as Network Marketers.
