Many socialist leaning politicians these days claim that they are the people's candidate and that they will help them by re-distributing the wealth by taxing the rich and giving to the poor.
Your basic Robin Hood fantasy trick, which has been used for centuries, helping leaders take control of the wealth of a nation or kingdom by promising it to the people; unfortunately, history shows that never actually happens.
Why? Simple, and you hardly have to read Ayn Rand Novels to figure this one out.
You see, when you take money away from the producers, money or wealth they have earned, they simply stop producing and your entire civilization loses its economies of scale and efficiency.
This causes a cascading effect and thus, higher taxes to make up for the lost productivity.
And very few people wish to give away their money.
Even the politicians who make these promises will not give their own money away, yet they will freely take someone else's money and give it to those who catapult them into power.
So, I ask a simple question: "Do Politicians Really Care about the People and if so, then Why Don't they Donate Leftover Campaign Monies to the people?" There answer is rather revealing.
The reason is that if they give away all that money then, they will not have the war chest or campaign monies they need to keep getting re-elected.
Supposedly, so they can continue taking money from those that earn it and giving it to those that want it without having to go through that whole process of working for it.
Perhaps, you might consider this next time you are told we need to re-distribute the wealth.
