- 1). Dodge Griffon's charge attack. Griffon will pull back at certain points in the battle and swoop in at you trying to hit you with his beak. Push the jump button right before impact and bounce off his face, hitting him with your sword. This is the easiest of his attacks to dodge and, if done correctly, will damage him each time.
- 2). Avoid Griffon's lightning-orb attack. He will drop an orb under him which will spread into several columns of lightning which will expand and come after you. Jump to the left or right as opposed to up, as the columns will follow you and cause damage.
- 3). Jump over and duck under the horizontal lines of lightning he shoots at you. He will shoot them at your current altitude. So if you are on the ground, jump the first one. The second one will come at you at the level of your jump, so duck under that one.
- 4). Shoot Griffon in between dodging his own attacks. Use your pistols or the grenade gun to keep damaging him, but keep moving so you don't get hit. After you drain half of his life, he will lose his ability to fly. Use the grenade gun to quickly whittle down his health. Continue to dodge his attacks to avoid dying and you will eventually defeat him and move on to the next level.
