    • 1). Cover your workspace with waxed paper and tape it on the corners with masking tape to protect your surfaces from resin, which will not easily come off later.

    • 2). Measure and pour clear casting resin and hardener into a disposable measuring cup according to the manufacturer's instructions. Different brands of resins have different instructions, and they need to be followed exactly.

    • 3). Stir the resin with a bamboo skewer for about 30 seconds or longer, if directed by the instructions.

    • 4). Add liquid resin pigment to the mixed resin and stir until you are satisfied with the color.

    • 5). Pour the resin mixture into a resin casting ring mold and tap the side of the mold with your finger to pop any bubbles that formed during pouring.

    • 6). Insert small objects into the ring mold with the resin, if you like, to encase them decoratively in the ring. Poke them into the resin in the mold with the tip of the wooden skewer. Choose objects like flower petals, pieces of glitter or rhinestones.

    • 7). Allow the resin to cure for the amount of time directed by the product instructions, which is usually about 2 hours to 3 hours.

    • 8). Flip the mold over in your hand and tap the back of it to release the ring into your hand. File any rough edges with a small metal file.
