How to Close a Pillow Seam
- 1). Thread the needle and knot the ends together.
- 2). Pull the needle through one of the inside edges of the opening so that the knot of the thread will be on the inside of the pillow.
- 3). Bring the needle through the outside edge of the opposite side of the opening and pull the thread through.
- 4). Bring the needle over to the first side of the opening again and insert it through the outside edge of the fabric.
- 5). Repeat steps 3 and 4 all along the length of the opening, spacing the stitches about 1/4 inch apart.
- 6). Secure the thread at the end by pulling the needle and thread underneath one of the stitches and making a small knot. Pull the knot tight so that it sinks into the seam and clip the thread as close to the knot as possible.
