Make Your Own Cork Board
- 1). Place the plywood on a flat surface. Clean the surface to make sure it is free of sawdust and dirt.
- 2). Paint the plywood in a color matching your decor. Paint the edges of the plywood as well as the surface. Allow the paint to dry completely.
- 3). Arrange the wine corks on the board in a pattern, starting from the top left corner. You can line them up vertically or horizontally in rows, place two vertical and two horizontal corks in a repeating pattern or make a cork "outline" filled with rows of corks. The corks will roll out of place before they're glued; you don't have to arrange the corks over the whole surface, just do a dry run of a section of the pattern before gluing.
- 4). Plug in your hot glue gun and let it heat up. Glue the corks in place one at a time with hot glue.
- 5). Attach a ribbon around the edge of the board with hot glue to cover the plywood, if desired.
