How to Sprinkle Lemon Zest on a Cake
- 1). Take a freshly baked cake out of the oven and set it on the counter.
- 2). Pick up a large pinch of lemon zest between your thumb and the index and middle fingers. Sprinkle the lemon zest on a cake that will not be frosted while the cake is still warm. A warm cake is moist on top and the moistness helps hold the lemon zest in place.
