- There are some glitches in the original "Pac-Man" that can be used as cheats. When Pac-Man enters the escape tunnel, push up and down twice and then push down once more. Pac-man will be able to walk through walls when he's moving up and down on the screen; however, he will no longer be able to move horizontally.
To get an infinite number of lives, eat one ghost on level one, two ghosts on level two, three ghosts on level three and four ghosts on level four. Then press up and down and get killed by a ghost. - Once you reach the seventh level, eat the pill immediately. Ghosts will start flashing and continue flashing, rendering them harmless for the rest of the game so you can eat them. You basically become invincible.
Once you have obtained the trackball, if you keep hitting the fire button you can shoot missiles. - At any point during play, hit escape and type in the following codes (without quotes) to achieve the corresponding actions. Type "getalife" to get an extra life or "ihavenohonour" for unlimited lives. If you want more challenge, type "missionimpossible" to get faster, tougher opponents. To play the game in first-person, type "upcloseandpersona" or "beingpacmanovich." Type "iaintscared" to play in invincible mode and "honeyiblewuppacman" to play with an extra large Pac-Man. To select a level, type "showmethemazes." To skip a level, type "ineedthepoints" or "ineedanexit."
