Thank You Safety Gifts

    Food

    • Thank the safety professionals with food baskets they can share at the office. Choose snack foods such as crackers, cheese, cookies and fruit. Consider sending over doughnuts one morning. Give them a pizza party by speaking with their chief and arranging to send over a dozen pies. Treat them to healthy sweets and send over edible food arrangements. The point is to feed and nourish them the way their hard work took care of you.

    Gift Cards

    • Thank safety professionals with gift cards to local stores. A large electronics store or a large discount store makes a good choice because it will have something for each member of the crew. Send individual gift cards for the amount of people involved in your rescue, such as six $10 gift cards for six firefighters or three $20 gift cards for three paramedics. Be sure to include a nice note reminding them what they did for you and when, since the safety pros help many people every day.

    T-Shirts

    • Give the safety professionals T-shirts that will show the world how much you appreciate them. Send tees that declare they are the world's best. For example, send firefighters T-shirts that say, "World's Best Firefighters." Look on Internet retailers that specialize in occupation novelties. Order tees in mostly large sizes. Add the safety crew members' names on the back of each shirt for a personal touch. Remember to send a thoughtful letter with the gifts reminding the crew what they did for you and telling them what a difference it made in your life.

    Handwrtten Thank You

    • When money is an issue and you can't send a store-bought gift, write personal thank you notes and mail them to the safety professionals' office. Make sure the notes are sincere thank you messages that sum up what your experience was, when it happened, and the difference each crew member made in your life. Go a step further by sending a detailed message to the crew's supervisor and name names. This upper-level thank you will trickle down to the crew when their boss compliments them on a job well done. That will be a very valuable gift for them all.
