    • Job placement grants are awarded through the government and private organizations to help people get employment, education and training. Grants are a type of financial assistance that do not need to be repaid and are used to help people and communities around the nation. Job grants also help support specialized education and training. Participants in a grant program can find entry-level careers in a variety of fields.

    Indian Job Placement

    • The Indian Job Placement Grant provides counseling, assistance programs, adjustment guidance and referrals for people from the United Sioux Tribes Development Corporation. The funds are designed specifically to help Indians find permanent employment. Participants in the program may receive stipends until they receive their first paycheck.

    Federal Government

    • The federal government offers a Job Development and Job Placement Services to Individuals With Disabilities CFDA 84.129R Federal Grant. This grant supports agencies that help those living with disabilities find sustainable careers through job training and education. Public and not-for-profit organizations, institutes of higher learning and Indian tribes are eligible for this grant.

    U.S. Department of Labor

    • The Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration offers job placement grants. The grants are available through One-Stop Career Centers around the country and support job counseling and training programs to help people begin their careers. Training at the center is often based on what kinds of jobs are prevalent in the local community.

    Civic Works

    • Civic Works is a job training and placement center located in Baltimore, MD. The Maryland Department of Human Resources and Foundation for an Open Society have both offered grants designed to create sustainable jobs in the green career workforce in underserved populations. Through these grants, Civic Works has been able to establish a B'more Green program. This is a six-week program that trains Baltimore residents in brownfields mitigation and environmental technology. Brownsfields mitigation decontaminates bodies of water and prevents future contamination.
