    Stocking

    • Construction paper can be used to make a simple stocking that kids can hang in their rooms for Santa to fill up with tiny treats. Cut out two equally-sized stocking shapes from green or red construction paper, then staple or glue the perimeter of the two together, leaving the top open for stuffing. Kids can then write their names on their stocking and decorate the outside.

    Ornaments

    • Paper ornaments can easily be made with construction paper and then saved from year to year as a cherished keepsake. Kids can cut out stars, circles and hearts from red and green construction paper, then glue their school picture to the center. Write their name and the year at the bottom and attach a piece of ribbon to the top so it can be tied to the tree.

    Cards

    • Christmas cards made from construction paper can be easily created by little ones. Give each child a piece of construction paper and instruct them to fold the paper in half. Let them write a message on the inside of the card and decorate it with Christmas stickers. These cards can be sent to grandparents or other relatives who live far away.

    Boxes

    • Paper boxes can be made from construction paper, then used to store small gifts you're planning to give away. Cut diagonal slits into the corners of a square of construction paper then fold the cut pieces inward to make a corner. Make a top and a bottom, making the bottom box half smaller so it can slide under the top box half.
