Jeep Trails in Oregon

Oregon's vast forests, volcanic peaks, valleys, plateaus and rugged coastline offer Jeep drivers a variety of trails to experience thrilling off-road adventures. Before you hit the trails, make sure you have an ATV permit displayed on your Jeep. ATV permits are $10 and are valid for two years. Permits are obtained through an ATV agent. - The Christmas Valley Sand Dunes offer more than 11,000 acres of sand dunes that vary in difficulty from easy to difficult. Open all year, the dunes are muddy in winter and dusty and dry in the summer, giving riders the challenges and fun of maneuvering through challenging trails. The sand dunes are managed by the Bureau of Land Management.

blm.gov/lakeview/LKVWRA/recwild.htm - The Honeyman State Park dunes are open for off-road adventures from October through April. The trails range from easy to challenging. The park is the second largest overnight camp in Oregon, so staying for multiple days to explore the trails is possible. Reservations are recommended for Thanksgiving weekend and Christmas. There are no trails within the park.

oregonstateparks.org/park_134.php - Open year-round as weather permits, the Klamath Sportsman's Park is located 20 miles southwest of Klamath Falls and offers riders over 20 acres of off-road exploration. It features a mud bog area, racing areas with pit areas and a fenced-in spectator area. Fees are $4 per visit or a $30 yearly family membership.

oohva.org - Open year-round, weather permitting, the McGrew 4WD Trail features trails for all levels of drivers. For experienced drivers there are twenty miles of remote four-wheel drive trails. At the end of the trail, drivers will find rock and mud, pits and a campsite. The end of the trail is closed during the wet season due to dangers.

Offering 200 miles of trails with a wide variety of terrain, the Morrow County Trails are continually adding to the existing system. For your convenience and to inhibit the spread of weeds, there are wash-down areas available for your vehicle along the trails.
