DIY: Scrapbook Storage
- Purchase an armoire or computer hutch. For an inexpensive version, visit a thrift store or yard sale for a used hutch that can be recycled. Add a couple coats of paint and make it your own.
- Attach rows of wooden dowels horizontally to the inside of one of the armoire's doors, using small window treatment brackets. Place the spools of ribbon on the dowels for organization and easy access.
- Attach a bulletin board to the inside of the other armoire's door for to-do lists and to display inspirations and ideas for scrapbooking pages. Consider lining the entire inside of the door with cork board squares (attach with thick double-sided mounting tape).
- Use inexpensive glass or plastic jars to hold scrapbooking embellishments, keeping like colored items together to make it easy to create color-schemed scrapbook pages. Use plastic embroidery boxes to hold buttons and other small embellishments. Buy colorful magazine boxes for scrapbooking magazines and place upright on top of the armoire. Store markers and writing utensils in decorative tins or flower pots.
- Buy easy-to-assemble scrapbook organization cubes from an arts and craft stores and stack them on the armoire shelves. Store card stock paper by color for easy accessibility.
