How to Transfer WPS to DOC
- 1). Open a Web browser and navigate to the Microsoft Works 6-9 File Converter download page on the Microsoft website (see Resources).
- 2). Click the "Download" button and save the file to your desktop when prompted by your browser.
- 3). Close all open programs.
- 4). Double-click the icon of the installer program you downloaded previously. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your choice and install the conversion tool.
- 5). Open Microsoft Word.
- 6). Click the "File" or "Office" button near the top of the window and click "Open."
- 7). Click the "File of type" drop-down menu and click "All Files." Navigate to the folder containing your WPS file and open the file by double-clicking its icon.
- 8). Click the "File" or "Office" button and click "Save As."
- 9). Give the file a name, select a save location and click the "Save as type" drop-down menu. If you use Word 2003 or earlier, select "Word Document." In Word 2007 or later, select the "Word 97-2003 Document" option instead.

Click "Save." - 1). Open a Web browser and navigate to the Zamzar website (see Resources).
- 2). Click "Choose File." Locate your WPS file in the resulting file window and double-click its icon.
- 3). Click the "Choose the format to convert to" drop-down menu and select the "doc" option.
- 4). Type your email address in the adjacent field.
- 5). Click "Convert." Your WPS file will be uploaded and converted to DOC format. Once complete, a download link will be sent to the email address you provided.
