What do the Star Ratings Mean?
As many of my readers know I have a special place in my mechanic's heart for products that are "As Seen on TV." Television infomercials sell some really cool products that bypass the stores and go straight to the consumer, but there are also some pieces of real junk that no store would carry, so the only way to sell it is to go straight to market and hope to dupe an unwary consumer.
The fun is finding out which is a great product, and which is just a waste of money. The Wiper Wizard claims that it can make your tired and streaky wipers work just like new -- if this is true it would be great. Here in the Northeast the winters are rough on wipers, breaking them down fast. If Wiper Wizard can extend the life of wipers we might really be onto something. Their product is said to be a patent pending blend of materials that you slide your wiper rubber against, cleaning up the imperfections and leaving the wiper crisp as new. I was a little dubious of this product and its claims when the front of the packaging read "Patent Pepding" instead of "Pending." I'm not sure what pepding is, but I thought I would give it a shot anyway since my wipers were not working very well at all. I can say I was pleasantly surprised that the wipers worked very well after I ran the Wiper Wizard across them and wiped them with the provided microfiber cloth! The Wiper Wizard looks to be money well spent.
Amazing.
Pros: The pros are that it worked as stated and is a much needed product.
Cons: The cons are that it was a little awkward to hold, could have been a tad more ergonomic.
Buy It Now, Buy It Later?
I would buy it now.
Bang for the Buck
The Wiper Wizard was only $9.99 which means it carries a lot of bang for the buck, considering the cost of replacement wiper blades.
