How to Build a Toy Dairy Barn
- 1). Cut five 1/4-inch thick plywood boards so that they are 6-inches long by 4-inches wide. Use a miter saw to cut the boards.
- 2). Cut two 1/4-inch thick plywood boards so that they are 6 1/2-inches long by 2 1/2-inches wide.
- 3). Attach two of the 6x4 plywood boards at a 90-degree angle so that the 6-inch edges of each of the boards meet perpendicularly. Use wood glue to attach the pieces and hold them together with clamps for 1 hour to allow time for the glue to dry. This will create the base of the toy dairy barn and one side wall of the barn.
- 4). Attach another one of the 6x4 boards to the base of the toy dairy barn in the same manner as the side wall was attached. This will create the base along with the two side walls.
- 5). Draw a line on one of the remaining 6x4 boards running perpendicular to the 4-inch edges (horizontal), 4 inches from one of the 4-inch edges and 2 inches from the other. Repeat this step on the last 6x4 board.
- 6). Draw a line perpendicular to the first line (vertical) 3 inches from either of the 6-inch edges. Repeat this step on the last 6x4 board.
- 7). Draw an angled line from the intersection of the vertical line and the edge of the board to the intersection of the horizontal line and one of the edges of the board. Repeat this step on the opposite side of the same board. Repeat this step on the last 6x4 board.
- 8). Cut along the angled lines using the miter saw. Repeat this step on the last 6x4 board. This will create the front and back walls of the toy dairy barn.
- 9). Attach the front and back walls of the barn to the base and side wall structure so that the angled ends of the front and back walls are pointing upwards from the base. Attach these pieces in the same manner as the side walls were attached to the base.

Attach one of the 6-1/2x2-1/2 boards to the top of the structure of the barn so that the board sticks out 1/4 inch from either the front or the back of the barn and 1/2 from the side of the barn. This board should lie at an angle. Repeat this step with the last 6-1/2x2-1/2 board on the opposite side of the barn. - 11
Paint the walls of the toy dairy barn red, the roof white and add a door to the front and back walls and windows to the side walls using the white paint.
