    • 1). Coat the surface of your Nerf ballistic balls with craft paint. Use a paint pen for easier control and smoother application. Allow the first coat to dry completely, then add another coat.

    • 2). Use paint pens to create cartoon faces, swirling designs or television characters on your balls. Glue bits of craft foam to the ball to make three-dimensional additions like dragon crests, ears or hats. Add jewels for a sparkly bling effect or as your character's features or jewelry.

    • 3). Spray your finished piece with polyurethane spray. This spray will help to weatherproof your antenna ball, making the paint and other surface decorations last longer in the weather.

    • 4). Make a hole in the bottom of the antenna ball with an ice pick, poking halfway through the ball and stopping in the center. Shove the antenna ball onto your home radio antenna or car antenna. If the ball is loose on the antenna stalk, remove the ball, add a drop of craft glue into the bottom of the ice pick hole, then replace the ball and allow the glue to dry. Twist the ball to break the glue bond when you wish to remove the ball from your antenna.
