Over the past decade, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has taken the world by storm.
The competition of professional mixed martial arts (MMA) is now recognized as one of the most exciting sports in the world today.
In my opinion, it is the the greatest sport.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship is the dominant brand name, and largest organization in the sport of mixed martial arts.
Each and every UFC event successfully attracts a huge pay-per-view audience, and usually sells out seats for the LIVE events, which are always attended by celebrities who are also fans of the sport.
With all of the UFC's fans, it is hard to believe that the sport of MMA really just started in 1993 and remained mostly an underground event until around 2005, when it started to go mainstream.
Just as with teams in other sports like football and baseball, the UFC has devoted fans who are proud to wear UFC t-shirts and purchase Ultimate Fighting Championship collectibles, which reminds me of how people collect baseball memorabilia and other things like that.
The UFC puts on events in countries all across the world for what is truly an international sport.
Athletes from other sports are even crossing over into MMA.
We've seen professional football players slugging it out in MMA, and collegiate wrestlers have always done well.
There is a huge fanbase for the UFC online, where fans follow every move in the careers of their favorite fighters such as Chuck Liddell, Rashad Evans, Forrest Griffin, BJ Penn, Kenny Florian, Randy Couture, Brock Lesnar and many more!
