- 1). Go outdoors and turn your Garmin eTrex Legend device off.
- 2). Press and hold the "Page," "Enter" and "Power" buttons on your GPS device.
- 3). Select "Yes" when your eTrex Legend asks you to confirm that you want to erase all user data.
- 4). Leave your Garmin eTrex Legend with a clear view of the sky to acquire the satellite for about 30 minutes after the reboot.
