    • 1). Cut lengths of speaker wire for each speaker and the sub-woofer using wire cutters.

    • 2). Split the ends of the speaker wire by pulling the two wires apart.

    • 3). Strip 1 inch of the protective cover from each wire with a wire stripper.

    • 4). Connect the speakers to the receiver by depressing the spring loaded tab on the terminals, inserting into the wire into the terminal hole. Wires should connect the positive terminal on the speaker to the positive terminal on the receiver; likewise for negative terminals.

    • 5). Connect the sub-woofer to the receiver with the same method used for the speakers. Your receiver should have a specific terminal for the sub-woofer.

    • 6). Position the speakers at ear-height and equal distances from your listening spot.

    • 7). Place the sub-woofer near a wall, preferable in a corner, to maximize the effect of the bass.
