Downloading EBooks to Your Kindle

Management software for the Amazon Kindle can be downloaded from the internet, which allows owners of the Kindle to be able to read their eBooks on a personal computer or laptop, depending on which they prefer. If you like, you can decide to connect the Kindle device to your computer system and switch between reading eBooks either on your computer or Kindle, you can also easily transfer data to and from the computer system.

1. it's possible for you to download eBooks from a number of different websites, you are not limited to the Amazon bookstore, as long as these other websites have eBooks that are compatible with your Kindle device, all that is required is a USB cable, which you get when you purchase the Kindle.

2. When you click on 'My Computer' on your desktop, you should find a drive called Kindle, double click on that, and it should open up, giving you access to the document folder on the Kindle device.

3. All you have to do is select 'copy' on the book or document that you would like to transfer to the Kindle device.

4. Then right click on the documents folder of the Kindle device and select 'paste'.

5. Once you have done that, disconnect it from your computer and it should automatically restart itself. If you have completed the process correctly, then you should be able to see the document or book that you copied over.

With these five steps you should have little problem transferring or downloading eBooks to and from your laptop or personal computer to your Kindle, with the wireless capabilities of the device, you can have your book titles within a matter of seconds. It's fairly easy to use the device, even people who have next to no experience and knowledge of a computer, should have little difficulty handling the Kindle.
