Samsung S8300 Tocco Ultra
Samsung seem to like making their model numbers as confusing as possible these days. So, although the S8300 is the new F480, you'd never guess it by going by the model numbers alone !
Obviously, the new Tocco is improved over the original & Samsung have strangely ditched the "totally touchscreen" mode of input to a dual method of sliding keypad and touchscreen. Why we don't know but we suppose that it's better to have the choice of 2 rather than 1. It's actually quite a refreshing change from a design point of view as many of the touchscreen phones are & were all beginning to look the same so maybe Samsung wanted to stay one step ahead of their competitors.
To stay ahead of the game Samsung have upped the technical specification from the aged F480. The camera is one of the most notable improvements as it's gone from a 5Mp to a rather fine and dandy 8Mp. The camera is well equipped with dual LED flash, face & smile detection, auto focus, geo-tagging and image stabilisation amongst other things. All images and videos are perfectly presented on the large scratch-resistant 2.8" display that has advanced technology to allow for a brighter, crisper picture than ever before. An accelerometer sensor automatically adjusts and rotates the image as you turn the handset to capture the perfect pose. It's also really handy too as the S8300 has A-GPS built in, so you can use the Samsung S8300 as a Sat Nav device - Pretty cool eh ? Samsung also claim that it's a powerful tool and will take users literally "from door to door".
As you'd expect from any Samsung mobile phone of this quality, the multimedia features on the Samsung S8300 are quite fantastic. It can play just about any music or video file that you require and memory is expandable upto a rather substantial 16Gb.
The Samsung S8300 is available now on all UK networks and SIM Free at The Order
