- 1). Purchase a replacement battery that is compatible with the Creative Zen Touch. There are a number of sites on the Internet where you can find a matching battery.
- 2). Use the small Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the two screws from the top-backside of the player.
- 3). Remove the two screws located at the bottom of the player. One screw may be covered over by a sticker. If so, remove the sticker to gain access to the screw.
- 4). On the side of the player that has the jack for the DC power supply, insert the thin flat-head screwdriver tip in the center between the two housings. Once it is pried, use your fingers to gently pull the two housings apart. The two sections will be connected by a thin power cable.
- 5). Carefully pull the power cable to disconnect it from its port.
- 6). The battery is stuck to one side of the housing using double-sided sticky tape. Pry the battery loose with either your fingers or with the flat-head screwdriver.
- 7). Insert the new battery's connector into the power port and seat the battery so its body does not obstruct any of the screw holes.
- 8). Carefully join the two housings together being careful that the power cord remains tucked inside the player. Snap the player shut and reinstall the four screws you removed earlier.
- 9). Plug the power cord adapter into the Creative Zen Touch and allow it to charge the battery for the recommended length of time indicated in the directions that came with the replacement battery.

Once fully charged, you can enjoy your Zen Touch like you did when it was brand new!
