Are Ustream Videos Archived?
- You can record broadcasts using Ustream's Web Broadcast Console or the free desktop application Producer. After connecting your video camera and microphone to your computer, click the "Start Broadcast" button to begin broadcasting. Click "Start Record" to begin recording the broadcast, and end the recording by pressing the "Stop Record" and "Stop Broadcast" buttons when needed.
- Archived videos are available from a Ustream channel page. To reach your channel page, click on the "Go to Channel" button on your Ustream account dashboard. Click on the Ustream username above the video player, and Ustream displays the number of archived videos on the next page. Follow the link to see a list of all the archived videos.
- You can download your archived broadcasts, although your viewers can't. Click on "Your Videos" in the Channel section of your Ustream dashboard to see a list of all your archived broadcasts. Click the wrench icon to edit your video, and you can download the video as a FLV file or upload it directly to YouTube.
- You can find additional tools to manage your archived broadcasts by clicking on the "Your Videos" link the in the Channel section of the Ustream dashboard. You can change the title, description and tags associated with the video, or you can adjust the privacy settings to restrict who can watch the broadcast. Ustream also has tools to create short highlight videos from archived broadcasts or cut video from the beginning or end of recorded broadcasts.
