Wedgwood is known for its collectible pieces that celebrate a special occasion or memorialize an event. As a baby's christening is a momentous occasion, give the child an item that will not only be treasured but may become the start of a collection or a family heirloom. - Wedgwood, known for its fine china and collectible items, decided to begin a new collectible line dedicated to christening gifts in 2003, when it came out with the Peter Rabbit collection. Three years later, in 2006, Wedgwood introduced another christening line to memorialize this momentous occasion in a child's
life when it developed the christening bear silver-plated line. - This collection contains four separate items---money box, plate, mug, bowl and the set. Softly colored in pastels of pink, blue and teal, Peter is dressed in a blue jacket as he illustrates different poses. The money box pictures Peter with a surprised expression on his face with birds surrounding him. The plate is rimmed with a blue line, while Peter stands one-legged on top of an upside down flower pot. The mug shows Peter holding a carrot in the air while the bowl has Peter inside the middle.
- Snap that christening picture and insert it into an engraved Wedgwood christening bear collection frame. Set in sparkling silver-plate, the bear sits off to the side of the frame. Combine it with the rectangular music box, square money box or circular tooth holder, all silver-plated with the bear sitting on top.
