    • 1). Slide the closet bolts into the closet bolt slots in the top of the closet flange, which is mounted to the floor. Some flanges have short slots on the sides of the flange that center the closet bolts; on flanges with long slots, slide the bolts to the center of the closet flange.

    • 2). Place the toilet wax ring on the underside toilet waste outlet. Closet flanges that sit below the floor require a thicker wax ring or two regular wax rings.

    • 3). Lift the toilet bowl over the closet bolts and sit the toilet onto the closet flange; press down on the bowl with one knee to compress the wax ring. The toilet may require shimming if the bowl does not sit evenly on the floor.

    • 4). Shim the toilet from the back with wooden or plastic shims; slide the shims under the bowl. Carefully cut off the excess shim with a utility knife.

    • 5). Adjust the toilet bowl center with the wall for a straight appearance.

    • 6). Slide the plastic cap washers onto the closet bolts, followed by the metal closet bolt washers.

    • 7). Screw the nuts onto the closet bolts and tighten with an adjustable wrench. Do not over-tighten the nuts or the bowl might crack and break.

    • 8). Cut off the excess closet bolts with a mini hacksaw, and then snap the plastic bolt cap covers onto the plastic washers.

    • 9). Lay the toilet tank on a covered, flat work area to prevent damage to the toilet tank.

    • 10

Slide the rubber washers fully onto the toilet tank hold-down bolts.

    • 11

Insert the toilet tank hold-down bolts into the holes through the inside bottom of the toilet tank.

    • 12

Slide the large neoprene flush valve gasket onto the threads of the flush valve, located on the underside of the toilet tank.

    • 13

Set the toilet tank onto the toilet bowl; align the toilet tank bolts with the holes in the toilet bowl.

    • 14

Slide the metal washer fully onto the toilet tank bolts. Screw the nuts onto the toilet tank hold down bolts and hand tighten.

    • 15

Adjust the toilet tank so it is level and each side is equal distance from the tank to bowl. Tighten the nuts with an adjustable wrench.

    • 16

Apply a coat of plumber's PTFE paste to the end of the toilet water supply line.

    • 17

Screw the water supply nut onto the toilet fill valve threads and tighten with pliers.

    • 18

Remove the push button from the toilet tank lid. Slide the push button case only into the toilet tank lid.

    • 19

Put the toilet tank in place and align the push button rods with the dual flush valve simultaneously.

    • 20

Turn on the toilet water supply valve and flush the toilet several times to check for leaks around the bowl and tank.
