How to Increase Fatigue in Dragon Age
- 1). Wear armor. The heavier the armor, the more fatigue it costs the wearer. Armor is rated by its weight: light, medium, heavy and massive. The material of the armor determines its weight. Some magical armor will have a lower fatigue cost than other armors of its type. For example, Wade's Drake Skin leather armor has a lower fatigue cost than hardened leather.
- 2). Use talents. Some talents have a fatigue cost associated with maintaining the talent. Precise striking, for example, has a fatigue cost of 5 percent, as do momentum and shield cover.
- 3). Cast spells that need to be sustained. Spells that can be sustained hold mana in reserve to maintain the spell and also have a fatigue cost. Rock Armor and Cleansing Aura both can be sustained indefinitely at the cost of keeping that mana in reserve and with a 5 percent fatigue cost.
- 1). Take talents that reduce fatigue. The warrior's talent, Powerful, reduces fatigue effect on stamina.
- 2). Un-equip heavy armor. The heavier the armor, the greater the fatigue cost. Spell-casters who wear armor need to spend more mana to cast spells. If your fatigue level is too high, try switching to a lighter armor. Mage robes have no fatigue cost, making them the best armor choice for mages.
- 3). Equip the items that reduce fatigue. Certain items and item sets reduce the level of fatigue that a character suffers. Wade's Superior Dragon Skin Armor pieces, when worn separately, have a related fatigue cost. When a character wears all three pieces at the same time, however, they have a negative fatigue cost of 25 percent, which can offset the fatigue cost of other equipped items or spells.
- 4). Employ items, spells or talents that increase stamina or mana regeneration. This doesn't actually reduce fatigue, but it does increase the amount of stamina or mana that the character has, making the fatigue cost less important. Maric's Blade regenerates 1.5 points of stamina every two seconds when in combat, for example. The bard's Song of Valor also increases stamina regeneration in combat while active.
- 5). Spend points in Willpower. Mana and stamina pools are based on the character's willpower score. The higher the willpower score, the more mana or stamina points one has to draw from. Again, this doesn't decrease fatigue. It only makes fatigue less important.
