How to Purchase for Registered Couples
- 1). Find out where the couple is registered. Many couples list this on their invitations or on their wedding website. If they haven't listed this information, you can go to different retailers' websites and search their registry database.
- 2). Print the couple's registry. You can do this online or in person. If you do so online, go to the retailer's website, find the registry page and search for the couple. If you print it in person, go to the store's customer-service counter. Many stores have self-service registry kiosks that let you print the registry without waiting for help.
- 3). Consult the list to find a gift within your price range. Typically, stores list registry items by department, but they also frequently list the price.
- 4). Verify that the couple has not received the gift already. Registries list if someone has already purchased the item. If the couple requested multiples of the same item, the registry will list how many people have already purchased it.
- 5). Find the item and take it to the cash register.
- 6). When you purchase the item, notify the cashier that it's from a wedding registry. Give the cashier the registry form. The cashier will update the registry.
