- 1). Sweep or vacuum glazed ceramic floor tiles daily, or every other day depending on the traffic in the area. This will remove dust and grit that can wear down the glaze. If your glazed tiles are part of a backsplash or bathroom area, wipe them down with a damp cloth to remove dust.
- 2). Fill a bucket with warm water and add an all-purpose household detergent, according to the package directions. Do not use oil-based or ammonia-based cleaners. Use a soft sponge or mop to wash the surface of the glazed tiles. Do this once a week or once every other week, depending on the traffic or use of the tiled area.
- 3). Empty the bucket and fill it with clear water. Rinse the sponge or mop. Dip the sponge or mop in the clean water and wipe down the tiles to rinse them.
- 4). Apply a silicone grout sealer to the grout joints twice a year to protect and maintain the color the grout.
- 5). Wipe up any spills immediately.

Mop or wipe down the surface with the clean water to rinse. Do this once a month or more often, if you have heavy traffic in the area.
- 4). Dry the surface with a clean towel.
- 5). Apply a spray-on floor wax according to the package directions after you dry the floor. Buff the wax in a circular motion with a white nylon pad.
