How to Cut Sink Holes in Laminate
- 1). Mark out the sink hole with a pencil, using the template that came with the sink. If you don't have a template, turn the sink upside down and take measurements to transfer to the countertop.
- 2). Drill a 1/2-inch hole through the countertop anywhere along the pencil line.
- 3). Insert a downstroke blade into your jigsaw. A downstroke blade's teeth are pointing down.
- 4). Cut along the pencil line, starting at the 1/2-inch hole. Use a piece of cardboard to protect the laminate top from damage. Be careful when you get near the end of your cut. If the cutout is not supported, it could drop and damage the laminate.
