- 1). Slide open the battery compartment cover on the underside of your A470. Remove the old batteries and replace them with two fresh ones. Slide the cover closed.
- 2). Locate the seam between the camera body and the outermost lens turret. Place the tip of a can of compressed air near the seam and fire several short bursts. Continue this around the seam's circumference.
- 3). Hold the camera firmly. Tap the USB cable cover, located on the right side of the camera, lightly against the edge of a table.
- 4). Ensure that the camera's power is off. Inspect the seam between the camera body and outermost lens turret for even spacing. If the lens appears misaligned or will not retract, apply firm pressure to the front lens turret with your thumbs. Listen for an audible click, indicating that the lens has been reseated correctly.
- 5). Power on your camera and enter normal shooting mode to test its function.
