- 1). Insert a DVD into your DVD burner, and open your DVD burning software. Most computers come with DVD burners and burning software already installed, so this process should be easy. Nero is a popular program that comes with computers. If you don't have any software installed, download the Nero trial version.
- 2). Select "Make a data DVD" or "Create DVD." This is always an option, regardless of the DVD burning software being used.
- 3). Select the files you want to put on your DVD. DVDs hold several gigabytes of information, so you probably don't need to worry about not having enough space.
- 4). Click the "Burn" button, and wait for the files to be added to the DVD.
