    • 1). Turn the frost factor dial up by one setting on the Automatic Humidity Control on your Honeywell humidifier if you notice low humidity conditions such as dry skin, cracked walls or peeling wallpaper when using the humidifier for the first time. Once it is adjusted the first time it should adjust for changing conditions.

    • 2). Turn the frost factor dial down by one setting on the Automatic Humidity Control if you notice condensation on the windows after running the humidifier all night the first time you use the humidifier.

    • 3). Reset the circuit breaker or replace the fuse for the humidifier on the electrical box if the furnace blower stops operating. Check that the furnace is on and that all external wiring connections do not appear to be damaged if the blower still does not operate. Call a heating contractor if none of these changes resolve the problem of the blower not operating.

    • 4). Keep all doors and windows closed if you continue to have low humidity despite running the humidifier. Also close your fireplace damper, minimize the time you run any exhaust fans and seal all doors and windows.

    • 5). Turn off the humidity control until moisture evaporates, if you experience heavy condensation on walls or windows. Once it evaporates, turn down the humidity control to eliminate moisture. If you continue to have condensation on your walls or windows consult a heating contractor as you may need more ventilation.
