How to Clean Cutting Boards With Bleach
- 1). Wipe the whole cutting board with a water-saturated sponge to detach loose crumbs. Lay the cutting board flat in the sink.
- 2). Mix a solution of 1 tbsp. chlorine bleach and 1 gallon cold water in a container.
- 3). Pour the dilute bleach onto the cutting board, flooding its surface completely. Let the cutting board soak in the bleach for 10 minutes.
- 4). Rinse the cutting board under cold, flowing water.
- 5). Turn the board over to expose its other side. Flood the exposed surface with the diluted bleach. Let the cutting board soak in the bleach for 10 minutes.
- 6). Rinse the whole cutting board with flowing water to flush away all bleach.
- 7). Lay the clean cutting board on a dishtowel to air-dry.
