- 1). Click on the dmg file on your Mac and select "Duplicate" from the File menu. Double-click on the "copy.dmg" file to open it.
- 2). Open "Disk Utility" from the "Utilities" folder in the "Go" menu or the "Applications/Utility" folder.
- 3). Select the dmg file from the left-hand side of the "Disk Utility" window. Click "Repair Disk." Click "Repair" once the first repair is finished. Keep clicking "Repair" until no further repairs are needed.
- 4). Click on the "First Aid" tab and select "Repair Permissions" if the permissions are not correct for the dmg file.
