Birthday party packages include entrance for up to 10 children and 12 adults with an outdoor party shelter, a carousel ride for each child, party invitations and favor bags. A zoo representative will remain with the party the whole time, completing a craft activity with attendees. The birthday celebrant receives a zoo T-shirt and the zoo provides cake, ice cream, lemonade, candles and paper goods. Because of animal safety regulations, no balloons, alcohol, nose makers or glass is allowed.
The zoo offers four theme options for parents who prefer to let the facility do the planning, including Farm, Creepy Crawly, Safari and Elephant. The Phoenix Zoo recommends people book parties six weeks in advance.

Housed as part of the Arizona Grand Resort facility, the course is open to the public (you do not have to be staying at the hotel to play the course, though the hotel can arrange for group rates for the party crowd). Features of the course include a protected desert preserve called South Mountain Park, mountain vistas and elevation changes. The 18-hole course is a par 71 and rated one of the top 35 golf courses in Arizona by The Arizona Republic.
The Arizona Grand Golf Course offers instruction by pros, tournaments and is part of the Arizona Grand Resort's golf stay-and-play special.

Parties are held on weekends only and include two tiers (up to eight children or up to 15 children, plus accompanying parents). Each party package includes a private room (one hour for the smaller group, two hours for the larger group), hands-on science exploration, activities, a party host and goodie bags. Party guests are free to explore the Arizona Science Center on their own after the event with no additional fee. Attendees may also take advantage of specially discounted tickets to Science Center facilities such as the IMAX Theater.
The Arizona Science Center provides a birthday cake and paper goods and offers three themed party styles: Mad Mixtures (where kids become scientists and create chemical reactions), Egyptology and Dinosaur Adventures. Book your party at least two weeks in advance to secure your requested day.
