How to Replace the Faceplate on a Blackberry Curve

    • 1). Check your warranty status with your mobile service provider. If you still have a valid warranty on your BlackBerry Curve, it will likely be voided by opening the casing. Your provider can tell you more.

    • 2). Turn the BlackBerry Curve over and remove the battery cover and battery. Use the screwdriver to remove the two screws located at the corners of the top of the back panel.

    • 3). Remove the bottom antenna cover of the BlackBerry Curve, which can be challenging. Start at the back and carefully pry the antenna cover away from the phone chassis. Work carefully so that you don't damage the antenna ribbon beneath it.

    • 4). Remove the old faceplate cover from the phone. There are two tabs on either side of the front cover that need to be pried loose. After that, the faceplate cover can pulled away from the phone chassis.

    • 5). Snap the replacement faceplate cover in place and replace the antenna cover. Replace the two screws you removed in Step 2. Replace the battery and the battery cover.
