- 1). Isolate the videos that you want to put on your PSP. In order to prevent accidental data loss, it is a good idea to make a temporary folder, and place copies of all of the videos you wish to convert into this folder.
- 2). Download and install your chosen video conversion suite. There are many options available, and the exact features differ with each. Some are free, and others are not. Once you have chosen a program and installed it, you should restart your computer.
- 3). Open your video conversion program, and import the file or files that you wish to convert. This will typically be done through the "File" menu, under "Import" or "Open." Your program may take a minute to import the files.
- 4). Export your video files into the correct PSP format. This is typically done through "File," and then "Save as" or "Export." You will be presented with various options regarding encoding and bitrate, but as long as the format is set to "PSP" the default options should be fine.
- 5). Transfer the new files onto your PSP, either using a memory stick or directly with a USB cable, and clean up your temporary files.
