How to Remove Oil Odors From the Air
- 1). Open the windows to help your home air out naturally. If you want to remove grease odor while you're still cooking, turn on the exhaust fan.
- 2). Pour distilled white vinegar into a bowl and leave it beside the stove. Do this while you're cooking if possible, but it works even after you finish. The vinegar draws out odors to freshen your home.
- 3). Heat vanilla extract to a boil in your microwave, or boil it on the stove. Carefully place the hot vanilla extract in the smelly room for odor neutralizing help.
- 4). Create a fresh-scented "tea" to counteract greasy smells. Fill a pot with water. Slice a couple lemons or oranges in rounds and add this. Include warm, fragrant spices like cinnamon or clove. Bring your tea to a boil, then turn it down to a simmer to chase the odors away.
