- 1). Try your backpack on with a few books in it. Place the laptop sleeve behind the books so that it sits naturally. Have a friend pin the sleeve where it is.
- 2). Sew the laptop sleeve in place by using a large needle and heavy-duty thread, or a heavy-duty sewing machine. With the sleeve open, sew around all four sides on the inside of the sleeve, securing it to the back of the backpack.
- 3). Place your laptop in the sleeve and zip the bottom and long side of the sleeve. You should now only need to unzip your sleeve across the top and pull your laptop out.
