Zombie Walk - Downtown Phoenix
Zombie Walk is a gathering of the undead, and the festival before the walk offers a full day of family friendly events including live music, Lil' Zombie Zone (2 p.m. to 8 p.m.), makeup artists, fortune tellers. 10,000 zombies are expected to line up at dusk (about 6 p.m.) for a slow-paced shuffle through Downtown Phoenix. Bring non-perishable food items or make a cash donation to benefit St. Mary's Food Bank in exchange for a ghoulish makeover. After the walk zombies, victims and bystanders will return to the park for more music and fun, including the announcement of the Most Valuable Zombie contest winners. Food vendors, beer garden, fresh brains (okay, maybe not). Non-zombies are also invited to attend. The night will culminate with a performance from a zombified Powerman 5000.
