As of August 2010, New York City has over 75 museums ranging from small galleries to large world class facilities, with many that offer some type of small cafe to replenish the tourist after a tour. In the past, the food was usually something quickly prepared without any attention to quality or taste. Today, some of these cafes are being transformed into what the New York Times calls, "Stylish restaurants that offer fine dining to go with the fine art."
